CYENS Centre of Excellence (CYENS CoE) is the leading Research Centre of Excellence in Cyprus, specializing in Information and Communication Technologies with a focus on Interactive Media, Smart Systems, and Emerging Technologies. Our mission is to bridge scientific research with innovation beyond academia, fostering world-class research and driving technological and economic growth in Cyprus and Europe.

As a joint venture between the University of Cyprus, Cyprus University of Technology, Open University of Cyprus, the Municipality of Nicosia, and international partners Max Planck Institute for Informatics (Germany) and University College London (UK), CYENS CoE integrates academic research and innovation to empower knowledge and technology transfer in the region.

The creative space, equipped with fabrication, rapid prototyping, electronics, Mix-R, and machining laboratories, offers researchers, entrepreneurs, and innovators opportunities to transform, share, test, and perfect their ideas.

🎨 Thinker Maker Space (TMS) 🎨 Our multifunctional creative space supports local entrepreneurs, designers, artists, and researchers. TMS promotes technology-led innovation by encouraging the local creative community to develop projects utilizing digital fabrication techniques and rapid prototyping. Open to the public under a membership program, TMS offers easy access to cutting-edge equipment and professional technical support. We organize exhibitions, talks, and workshops, providing a vital milestone and reference point for creatives locally and internationally.
